Ruth Usoro, a junior at Texas Tech, won the women's triple jump title with a third-round effort of 46-6.75 (14.19m) at the NCAA Division 1 Outdoor Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Usoro, representing Nigeria, became the first female athlete to sweep both indoor and outdor triple jump titles in the same year since Keturah Orji in 2018. Usoro, the No. 2 all-time indoor and outdoor collegiate triple jump competitor, led three female athletes jumping over 14 meters for the first time in outdoor finals history. Usoro also finished eighth in the long jump with a leap of 20-10.50 (6.36m).
