Anna Camp-Bennett, a senior at Brigham Young, won the women's 1,500-meter title in a personal-best 4:08.53 at the NCAA Division 1 Outdoor Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Camp-Bennett secured the first championship in the event for BYU since Susan Taylor in 2000 and elevated to the No. 12 all-time collegiate competitor. Camp-Bennett also helped the Cougars secure the Terry Crawford Program of the Year Award for the top NCAA Division 1 women's team in the country for the first time in school history. BYU won the cross country title in March, placed seventh at the indoor final, also in March, and finished 10th at the outdoor championship meet to edge second-place Arkansas in the competition by an 18-26 margin for all three seasons.
