Jorinde van Klinken Champion Women's Discus Throw and 12th Place Shot Put - NCAA D1 Outdoor Championships 2021

Jorinde van Klinken, a graduate student-athlete at Arizona State, won the women's discus title with a sixth-round throw of 213-3 (65.01m) to set the meet record and elevate to the No. 4 all-time collegiate competitor at the NCAA Division 1 Outdoor Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. The throw eclipsed the 1999 finals performance of 210-10 (64.26m) by Seilala Sua of UCLA. It marked the fifth discus title in program history for the Sun Devils, including the first since Maggie Ewen in 2018. She also finished 12th in the shot put with a mark of 55-4.25 (16.87m).
