UC Davis senior Erinn Beattie placed fifth in the women's heptathlon with a personal-best 5,924 points at the NCAA Division 1 Outdoor Championships in Austin, Texas. Beattie became the 47th collegiate female athlete to surpass 5,900 points in the heptathlon, equaling the No. 45 all-time performer after improving on her previous best by 253 points.
