KENTWOOD -- For Tia Brooks, London could be calling.

Photo courtesy of University of OklahomaUniversity of Oklahoma's Tia Brooks, an East Kentwood graduate, has the third best shot put throw this year by an American. The mark could land her on the U.S. Olympic team this summer.

The former East Kentwood state champion shot putter is proving that she is one of the best in the country after an incredible indoor season for the Oklahoma women's track team.

The redshirt junior set the meet record at the Big 12 Championships late last month at Texas A&M University. She followed that up by winning the NCAA Division I indoor title in the event with a personal-best throw of 19 meters (62 feet, 4 inches).
