Van Buskirk third at NCAA championship

KATE VAN BUSKIRK. She finished off her career at Duke University by finishing third in the 1,500 metres at the Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday.
A third-place finish and All-American status mark the end of a successful university track career for Kate Van Buskirk.
The Brampton athlete, a fifth-year senior at Duke University, came third in the women’s 1,500 metres at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field championship on Saturday in Des Moines, Iowa.
It was a great race for Canadians as Van Buskirk clocked a time of 4:15.37 while Sheila Reid of Newmarket, a junior at Villanova finished first in 4:14.57. Lucy Van Dalen of Stony Brook University was second in 4:15.33.
