Masai Russell, a senior at Kentucky, was the only female athlete at the NCAA Division 1 Championships to earn All-America first-team honors in four events, placing second in the 100-meter hurdles, 400-meter hurdles and 4x100-meter relay at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin, Texas. Russell also contributed to Kentucky finishing sixth in the 4x400-meter relay. She clocked a wind-aided 12.32 in the 100-meter hurdles, a personal-best 54.66 in the 400-meter hurdles, as well as contributing to the Wildcats clocking 42.46 in the 4x100 relay and 3:27.47 in the 4x400 relay. Russell also became the first female athlete in Division 1 history to earn All-America first-team honors in both the 100 hurdles and 400 hurdles in three consecutive years. More videos |
